Tina Quealy
Executive Director

Tina Quealy is the Burke Foundation’s Executive Director. In this role, Tina works to advance the foundation’s mission and principles in supporting urban education, service leadership, and youth development initiatives in Milwaukee. Tina is passionate about urban education, and Dick Burke’s vision of providing opportunity and access for all. Tina served as the Burke Foundation’s Program Officer, working closely with grantee organizations, for four years prior to this role.

Prior to her position at the Burke Foundation, Tina was involved in various social entrepreneurship, angel investment and innovation initiatives both in Milwaukee and Chicago. In her previous role as the Associate Director of the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship at Marquette University, Tina oversaw strategic development of entrepreneurial initiatives designed to foster innovation across campus and within the Milwaukee community. She also worked as an adjunct faculty member in Marquette’s College of Business Administration teaching interdisciplinary social entrepreneurship to undergraduate students, as well as to Milwaukee high school students in the Upward Program.

Formerly, Tina held the position of Associate Director at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business’s Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship, where she managed all venture capital and private equity initiatives. She was also Assistant Director of the Hyde Park Angels Network and helped launch and grow the network.

Tina received her B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and Columbia College Chicago, and her M.A. from Northwestern University.

In her spare time, Tina enjoys spending time with dogs and horses, reading great fiction, and wrangling her daughter, Thea.

Chris Due
Grants Manager

Christopher Due is the Burke Foundation’s Grants Manager. In this role, Chris works to support partners and administer the grantmaking process of the Foundation. Chris is passionate about strengthening his hometown of Milwaukee through developing its youth and young leaders.

Chris is a recent alumni of Marquette University’s Trinity Fellows program where he earned a Master’s in Business Administration. While a Trinity Fellow, he was placed at the Milwaukee Youth Arts where he helped lead capacity building efforts including the creation of a student advisory board that helped bring youth advocacy to the organization.  After graduation he became the Milwaukee Youth Art Center’s Campaign and Special Projects Coordinator.


Prior to his time as a time at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, Chris served a term as an AmeriCorps member leading architectural salvage projects.  He also served as a Program Coordinator with the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin where he led life-skills programming and fundraising events for Southeast Wisconsin.

Chris received his bachelor’s degree from Xavier University where he sparked an interest in social justice while volunteering and working in Cincinnati’s nonprofit community.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending weekends in Northern Wisconsin fishing, hiking, and getting outdoors.
